Introducing MyRA Touch – An innovative tool to enhance the application of electronic- patient reported outcome (ePRO) in the management of rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
MyRA Touch is a locally designed electronic platform aiming to actively engage RA patients in monitoring their disease activity, emphasizing on the importance of patient reported outcome (PRO). Early use of ePRO during outpatient clinic consultation has been proven to benefit both patients and health care providers. It facilitates decision-making process in day-to-day clinical practice.
For medical practitioners:
MyRA Touch is useful among medical practitioners who manage RA patients. This program is available in four languages, ie English, Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil. There is also an animation version with voice recording in 4 languages for illiterate patient. RA patients will enter the necessary data required for disease activity assessment prior to each clinic visit. For example, number of tender and swollen joints based on 28 joints disease activity scoring index (DAS-28). Other parameters being recorded in this application include: number of self-reported tender and swollen joints based on DAS28 via visual joint homunculus, Routine Assessment of Patient Index Data 3 (RAPID3), and Global Health Assessment using 100mm visual analogue scale (VAS). Patients are required to complete all data entry before assessment can be made. Patient’s RA disease activity will be auto-calculated by this electronic application. Current and previous disease activities score index will be displayed on a separate summarized page.
